30 & Fabulous!!

How do I even accurately describe the pure amazingness that was this past weekend? I will try my best to recap the past 4 days now...

Thursday:
E took me to Benihana for dinner. Finished the night back at his place playing wii dance games. I schooled him. He was impressed with my dance moves. We laughed, a lot.

Friday:
Met Mom for lunch where she asked me if I wanted to go pick out my Coach purse. Eeeeeeeeee! It's a special day in a girls life when she gets her first Coach purse. Friday was MY day. It needed to be special ordered so I will post pictures once she comes in! So excited.

I spent Friday afternoon getting things ready for my Wine & Cheese party which I was hosting at my Dad's house.

Saturday:
Met Mom and Aunt for lunch and did some quick shopping. Got my hair done (big drama there which I wont go into the details about... regardless I got some big discounts and free upgrades on my Birthday girl look!) Got dressed and headed over to my Dad's to finish up last minute details.

About 15 minutes before my party was to begin, my Dad and Step Mom asked me to open my Birthday card. My Dad always writes incredibly thoughtful Birthday messages so when I opened this years card, I expected it would follow suit, and it did, big time. Besides telling me how much he loves me and how proud he is of me and the person I am becoming, his gift to me along with his wife was to wave the remaining balance on my family loan that he borrowed me last year that helped me close on my Condo. I didn't know what to say so I just cried. I cried because their gift was so much more than a gift. Financial freedom is something you can't really describe other than it frees you of a certain kind of stress. So I cried, Dad cried, and my Step Mom cried. It was a beautiful moment for all of us. I made a new rule for the rest of the evening... no one was allowed to make me cry.

The rest of the night went off without a hitch. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening. 70's, crystal clear skies, and the worlds greatest friends, and my wonderful family!

Sunday:
I finally made it to bed around 3am and was wide awake at 7am. I guess I was just too excited to be 30!  E and I started the day off by going to Breakfast  and reflected back on the evening and how much fun we had. I was somehow surviving on 4 hours of sleep so after running some errands, I went back to my place and tried to take a little Birthday nap. That lasted about 20 minutes and said, screw it and started cleaning my Apartment. Managed to get a walk in and soak up the beautiful day too. Later in the evening, E and I headed over to my Mom's for dinner. Stuffed burgers, potatoes, veggies and of course cake, were on the menu.

The past 4 days have been nothing short of amazing. I am so lucky, so blessed, and so loved. My extended 30's forecast is sunny with TONS of hope!

I will leave you now with some of my favorite pictures from my Wine & Cheese party! Enjoy!!
