Thankful Thursday's

November 1st. Doesn't seem possible. Seems like I was just ringing in 2012 and now I am counting down until 2013. As I get older each year seems to past faster than the year before. You blink and 10 years passes you by. Crazy. I thought I would continue my tradition from last year and dedicate every Thursday in November and list out the many things I am thankful. I'm guilty of getting wrapped up in what I don't have and forget to realize what I do have. I'm blessed and this will be a good reminder for me to remain humble and grateful for the beautiful life I have.

1. I'm thankful for my family. They love me when I am unlovable. They support me when I am unsupportable. They allow me to fall but are there and ready to help me back up when I need them to be.

2. I'm thankful that my relationship with my Dad has improved by leaps and bounds. The past 15 plus years have been difficult since my parents split. It's been an emotional tug of war. "Forgiveness is accepting that the past couldn't be any different." That statement rings so much truth for me and my story. I love my Dad. I forgive my Dad. I am thankful that I have finally reached this place in my life of emotional freedom from something that was holding me hostage for far too long.

3. I'm thankful for my stubborn, never gonna give up, fight for what I want tendencies. It has it's advantages. It's who I am.

4. I'm thankful for my job. It allows  me the ability to provide and take care of myself. True Independence is such a liberating feeling.

5. I'm thankful for my awesome new boss. She is a world of positive difference compared to what I was going through a year ago. She's wonderful. Because of her I am not only a better Admin but a better person.

6. I'm thankful I'm an independent thinker and that I stand up for what I believe in.

7. I'm thankful for new beginnings.

8. I'm thankful for my friendships. Sometimes they change, but a true friendship never dies. Just picks up where it left off.

9. I'm thankful for the beautiful Minnesota Fall we have had.  Such brilliant changing colors paired with breathtaking sunrises and sets. It's hard not to get distracted while driving or walking around the many lakes.

10. I'm thankful that I'm learning to say "No" and in doing so, I'm finally saying "Yes" to myself. It's time.
