30 by 30: Weekly Update

Loss/Gain: -2.7 lbs
Pounds to lose until goal: 27.3
Activity: Zumba on Tuesday, Walking x 3 a week, Elliptical Trainer x 1
Water Intake: Gallons a day (I've never peed so much in my life)
Healthy Habits: I brought my breakfast and lunch to work EVERYDAY this week!
Emotional Weight Loss: Daily Devotionals, Scripture, Journaling & Blogging! :)

Well... I lost 2.7 lbs!!! Yay! It's a small step in the right direction. I get anxious on weigh in days. When I'm anxious, typically I eat but yesterday I pounded the water instead. I'm feeling good. I keep reminding myself that in 4 months I'm going to be at my first goal and it's going to feel so good to actually achieve it. I've heard that as a part of their training, marathon runners will visualize themselves running their race. Each step, each hill, each rest stop, until they reach the finish line. I like to think that I am also running a race albeit a very different one. As silly as it is going to sound, I have been visualizing what life will be like once I reach my first goal. I have visions of what I will look like, what clothes I'll be able to fit into again, and buy new! The self confidence I will gain and courage that goes along with it. Even though this stage is very much just visions of what could/will be, it feels good to have those hopes and dreams burning in my heart and mind.

It's been a good week. For those of you who are rooting me on, sending positive vibes, and prayers my way... THANK YOU... I feel them. Your encouragement and support mean a lot to me.
