It's About That Time

Today I woke up and it was -11 with a -25 windchill. My bedroom windows had ice on them, from the inside. I was perfectly snuggled into my wonderland of warm blankets and sweet dreams. I hit snooze 3 times.

Minnesota winters are known to be pretty brutal. Typically they start in November and can last up to April with flurries still in May. To say that it is long and dreary is a complete understatement. This year has been quite the exception though. We have yet to get dumped on with snow. If I had to guess how much snow we have had this year I would say MAYBE 10 inches. The ground is mostly brown with a few patches of white which typically is a pile of snow that has been plowed. This morning was the first below zero degree reading. If this is our winter, that I am perfectly content... however... I'm already over it. It's about that time when I get the itch to go someplace warm.

I'm dreaming of this

And this

And this

But mostly I dream about this...

BIG sigh. Powerball is 100 Million today. 100 Million warm weather vacations I could take.
